Digital signage connectivity

Digital signage connectivity for screens that update themselves.

Mobile connectivity for digital signage, menu boards and window displays, so content changes from anywhere and a blank screen gets noticed. No Wi-Fi to depend on, and nothing touching your business network.

What it does

Change every screen from one place.

Each screen, or the small media player behind it, connects over the mobile network to your signage software. New menus, prices and promotions go out on schedule, to one screen or hundreds.

It works the other way too. A screen that goes blank or stops updating can report it, so you find out before a customer does.

What to look for

Getting the connection right.

Signage uses more data than most connected equipment, so the plan needs sizing to your content.

Data sized properly

Plans matched to how often your content changes.

Overnight updates

Large downloads scheduled out of hours.

Monitoring

Know when a screen stops checking in.

One account

Every screen on one bill.

A compact router providing a mobile connection

How it is set up

A small router, or a SIM in the player.

Some media players take a SIM directly. Others connect through a compact 4G or 5G router beside the screen, which can also serve other kit nearby.

We supply and configure the connectivity and work alongside your signage software provider, or help you choose one.

Content is stored on the screen

Most signage players keep content locally and only download changes, so a brief dip in signal does not blank the screen.

Common questions

Digital signage connectivity, answered.

It depends on your content. Images and short videos downloaded when they change use far less than constant streaming. We size the data to how often your content updates.

Yes. With each screen connected, your signage software can push changes to one screen, a group or every site at once.

We focus on the connectivity and work with your signage provider. If you are starting from scratch, we can help you plan the setup.

You can, but signage is often where the Wi-Fi is weakest, and a separate connection keeps screens away from your business network and independent of your IT.

Most players keep showing the content they already have and catch up when the connection returns.
